Western Asiatic Bronze Sword

Ca. 9th-8th century BC

A bronze sword with a two-sided blade tapering to a sharp point, raised thick mid-rib, penannular guard, and round-section hilt finished with crescentic-shaped pommel.

This item comes with a COA and has been examined by a Dr of Archaeology, University of Oxford, alongside his vetting team, who in their professional opinion find the item to be authentic.

Provenance: From the private collection of a Central London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/European art market formed in the 1980s.
